This is a beginner class and requires no experience. It will be a hands-on experience in which students will learn the basic skills involved in forming blown glass vessels. Students will begin working with clear crystal to learn the process before going into color working techniques. Students will also get an overview of what goes into the creation and operation of a glass blowing studio. Glass blowing, like a musical instrument, requires many years to truly master. The students in this class can realistically expect to achieve the skills needed to create a small vase, bowl, or solid worked piece. This first-hand experience of working with molten glass will definately provide a deeper understanding and appreciation of the medium.

Classes will take place during Feb - May, 2012.
Each class will meet for three hours, on four consecutive weeks. The class times will be Saturdays, from 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM or 1:30 - 4:30 PM.
